Our Impact
Changing systems through lived experience, advocacy and actions
Who We Are
Every Parent Matters is a growing community of volunteers made up of parents who are healing from complex parenthood including those who have experienced pregnancy loss, stillbirth, child removal, or separation through family court or care systems.
We are parents supporting parents, united by lived experience and a shared commitment to healing, solidarity, and systemic change.
What We Do
Ascend, our lived experience leadership group, empowers parents to influence change at local, national, and international levels.
We contribute to research, engage in activism, and co-design services, working in collaboration with universities, public bodies, and organisations to improve support for families facing trauma, loss, and systemic barriers.
How We Do It
We elevate the voices of parents in research to foster real understanding and meaningful reform. We believe it’s essential to listen to both the pain of loss and the power of recovery from miscarriage to forced separation, from stillbirth to the family court.
Parents are often the most overlooked experts in the systems that have affected them. Their insights and contributions must be recognised, respected, and invested in.
We reject extractive models of research and advocate for ethical co-investment, where lived experience is valued equally in every co-design project.
